Long-time fans of the show (VERY long-time fans) will remember that in Episode 001, host Mark Ashby welcomed guitarist/keyboardist/producer Kim Olesen of Danish prog metallers Anubis Gate as the first interviewed guest on the show. Now, two years later, Olesen is back, and he's been kind enough to provide the show with an exclusive world premiere of a song from their forthcoming album Horizons, out 15 April on Nightmare Records. The band (l. to r. Morten Gade Sørensen [drums], Henrik Fevre [bass/vocals], Olesen, and Michael Bodin [guitar]) has undergone some membership changes since their self-titled 2011 album, but their trademark sound is firmly intact, which you'll hear in evidence in this episode. Olesen spoke about the reasons for the recent (friendly) departures, their late 2013 EP "Sheep" (available for free!), the thought-provoking artwork for Horizons and how it led to a lyric change, and much more. Visit them on the web at www.anubisgate.com.

Featured songs/excerpts:
